Workplace Eye Health

Workplace eye health, between the exams

Help workers notice changes in their vision, understand what their role requires, and know where to go for care, without the employer handling personal health information.

Education

Short, plain-language material on eye protection, eye injuries and first response, eye strain, and the value of regular eye exams, tailored to your workforce.

Early identification

Vision screening is not a full eye exam, but it can flag when a worker should see an eye-care professional sooner rather than later. Screening will be offered only once qualified personnel are in place.

Occupational visual requirements

Some roles have defined vision requirements, such as commercial driving or tasks that depend on colour recognition. We help you document what each role needs and how it is checked.

Referral pathways

Clear next steps when a worker needs care: to their own eye-care provider, or through VPI's planned clinical network. Pathways are designed so the worker, not the employer, holds their own health information.

Privacy

Employers see the program, not the patient

Eye-health information belongs to the worker. Programs are designed so employers see what they need to run the program, such as participation, eligibility and eyewear status, while clinical details stay between the worker and their eye-care provider.

Clinical services

VPI does not currently provide eye examinations. Clinical services, when they begin, will be delivered by licensed eye-care professionals.
